Unlike traditional timber doors, where the grain runs in a single direction—often creating weak points prone to warping or splitting—our SOLIDCORE Doors feature layers with varying grain directions. This cross-laminated structure significantly enhances the door’s stability, eliminating common issues associated with natural wood.

Through a specially orientated layup of sixteen veneers, the grain runs in multiple directions. This cross-laminated design significantly enhances the core’s strength, rigidity, and overall security, making it far more durable than conventional timber doors.
To further improve its resilience and aesthetic appeal, the Kerto® core is bonded to two robust, coloured PVC-u skins. These skins are available in a range of colours, offering either a realistic wood grain effect or a smooth finish to suit any home style.

The Solid Core door slab is manufactured here in Britain under strict BS EN ISO9001:2015 quality management systems and is then assembled in our bespoke door factory to achieve BS EN 14351-1:2006 +A1:2010, ensuring that our own high quality standards are met.
